This afternoon workshop, jointly hosted by Study UK and Penningtons Manches LLP, is your chance to learn more about the legal contract that forms the heart of an institution's relationship with its students.

  • Competition & Markets Authority’s recent “Advice on Consumer Protection Law” to Higher Education Providers
  • Summary of recent and forthcoming changes in consumer protection law
  • A student’s right to cancel and get a refund
  • Using terms and conditions to improve UKVI compliance
  • Case studies: what to avoid in student terms and conditions
  • Terms and Conditions covered by the Office of the Independent Adjudicator
  • (NEW) Member Case Study: Managing Terms and Conditions between Partners – Graeme Slater, UCFB

Session format
Presentations with hand-outs and case studies, with plenty of time for discussion and questions.
Member presented case study, with discussion.
