Event: Employment Update, 28 April

4 April 2016

This half-day seminar on 28 April, jointly hosted by Study UK and Penningtons Manches LLP, will look at the latest developments in employment law with particular reference to how it applies in an educational institution.

There have been a number of cases and other developments of interest to providers of education. The employment law update will include: 

  • What next for zero hours workers?  Many education providers appoint teaching staff on zero hours contracts. We will look at some of the current issues from your perspective.
  • Changes to salary sacrifice and childcare voucher schemes: what you need to know
  • The role of HR in disciplinary investigations: traps for the unwary

We will also provide a roundup of key recent cases.

Presentations with hand-outs and case studies, with plenty of time for discussion and questions.
