2013/14 Events Calendar online and open for bookings

16 September 2013

We are pleased to announce that the Study UK Events Calendar for 2013/14 is now online. Full details of all current Study UK events can be found on our website at www.study-uk.org/training, complete with new online booking functionality.*

The events programme has been designed to provide members with the information and training support you need to remain at the forefront of the independent education sector. It takes staff and institutions' varied training requirements into account by covering a wide range of topics from a variety of angles. While more than 60 events are available now for you to book, we will continue to add new sessions during the course of the year in response to emerging issues, opportunities and feedback from members.

All our events make use of leading sector practitioners, consultants and experts from inside Government and its agencies to cover topics in authoritative detail. This includes a series of Home Office workshops that we are delivering jointly with the UK Visas and Immigration team, allowing staff to hear updates and discuss key issues of policy and procedure with the very officials tasked with implementing them. We have also carefully selected relevant training opportunities from our partner organisations English UK and UKCISA, which have been made available to Study UK members at a significant discount, potentially saving you hundreds of pounds over the course of the year.

Please take some time to browse the website now and see what we have coming up. Members benefit from a further early bird discount of almost 20% on Study UK and English UK events booked before the end of September, so if you find anything that interests you, now is the time to book! You can also help us to continue to meet your training needs by letting us know about any topics you would particularly like to see added to the programme. Please contact events@study-uk.org or phone 020 7608 7090 with any questions or to provide feedback.

I would be grateful if you could also encourage your colleagues to join our mailing list so that they can receive our monthly members' e-Newsletter and hear first hand about events that might be of interest. Staff at member institutions should simply email info@study-uk.org and ask to be added to the list.

Finally, a date for your diary: Study UK's Annual Conference on Monday 16 December 2013. More information to follow when bookings open next month, but please save the date.

* N.B. As part of our move to a new online booking system, we have assigned each member institution its own Study UK membership number. These will be emailed shortly to all Nominated Representatives, and will be needed to claim your member discount when booking any Study UK, English UK or UKCISA event.

Best wishes,

Jane Marsh
