Alongside representatives from UKCISA, UEA, English UK, Universities UK and the National Union of Students, Sue Hindely, Chair of Study UK, participated in a press conference on Wednesday 26 January. With the final date for responding to the UKBA consultation document on Monday 31st January the press conference highlighted the potential damage the UKBA proposals would have across the whole education sector. Speaking for Study UK members Sue said ‘from a Study UK perspective we are very concerned about the proposed level 4 and 5 restrictions.... in particular large numbers of good institutions potentially being thrown out of business’.
